MEET THE CAST :

Richard Kirkwood (Richard of Gloucester) has performed Moby-Dick: the Sermon with the Brooklyn Lyceum for the past several months. Favorite roles include Lord Byron in Camino Real at Arthouse Productions in Jersey City, and Artie Shaughnessy in House of Blue Leaves as a guest artist at Hollins University.  He has been heard and seen in numerous programs for the Learning Channel and Discovery.

 

 

 


Derrick Bryant Marshall (Derby/ Mayor/ Brakenbury) is pleased to make his Brooklyn Reparatory Shakespeare Company debut in Richard III under the direction of Hollie Rosenberg. Recent credits include: Unsheathed!, State Fair, Ragtime, La Posada Magical, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, as well as the operas Amahl & The Night Visitors, La Forza del Destino and Il Barbiere di Siviglia. This one is for the Twinnie, partner in crime and theatre.

 

 

Jen Ponton (QUEEN MARGARET) Jen is a 2006 graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey's Theatre program. She was last seen in the original musical My Life as a Bald Soprano and previously as a member of the Michael Chekhov Theatre Company's production of Happy Hour. Previous credits include Lenny in Crimes of the Heart, Maria in Twelfth Night, Pirate Jenny in the revue The Two Faces of Kurt Weill, Pope Joan in Top Girls, Mrs. Martin in The Bald Soprano and Madame Lombardi (dottore) in the classic commedia dell'arte, The Servant of Two Masters. Many thanks to Hollie and the cast and crew.

  

 

 


John William Schiffbauer (Clarence/Bishop/Richmond) graduated with a B.A. from Bard College. Previous acting credits include: As You Like It (First Lord), Theatre of the Riverside Church; Happy Go Lucky (Andy), Ensemble Studio Theater;  Romeo and Juliet (Romeo), Powerhouse Theater. His previous directing credits include: Along The Dock, Yellow Fog, (Bard College at Simon's Rock), and Clementine (Center Stage). He will graduate from Columbia University in 2008 with an MFA in Acting.

Stefanie Schussel (Lady Anne/ Murderer 1/ Scrivener) is thrilled to be acting in her first Shakespearean history.  Other favorite Shakespeare roles include Festein in Twelfth Night, Helena in Midsummer Night’s Dream, Nurse in Romeo & Juliet, and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing.  Stefanie is a founding member and the artistic producer of Elevator Up Theatre Company, which most recently produced Closer at The Times Square Arts Center.

 

 

 

GEORGE TSALIKIS (Catseby / 2nd Murderer / Fight Choreographer ) As the lead singer and founder of LMP Recording Artists Zandelle, George has released two international albums and has performed countless times in various venues throughout the country.  George’s acting credits include Joe in The Pajama Game, The Kralahome and Simon Legree in The King & I, The Prince in Romeo & Juliet, The Great Goblin and an Elf in The Hobbit, Billy Crocker in Anything Goes, Young Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, El Gallo in The Fantasticks, Patrick, Ralph Devine and Gregor in Mame, Bill Calhoun / Lucentio in Kiss Me Kate, Dr. Jekyll / Edward Hyde in Jekyll & Hyde and Danny Zuko in Grease.  George is very excited to be making his debut with the Brooklyn Repertory Shakespeare.


Ben Tylka was last seen as the Narrator/ Mysterious Man in the Curtain Call Theatre's production of Into the Woods and as Fred in the Nebraska Theatre Caravan's touring production of A Christmas Carol. While studying at Truman State University some of his favorite roles included Dr. Faustus from Dr. Faustus and Jay Follet from All the Way home.

 

 

 

Kristin Woodburn (Queen Elizabeth):  New York: Twelfth Night, Wars of the Roses, the 8 play Shakespearean history cycle, (Twenty Feet Productions); The Memory of Water, Airport Hilton (Invisible City Theater Company);  A Rustle of Wings (Ensemble Studio Theatre); Pilgrims of the Night (Godlight Theatre Company).  Regional:  Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night (Southwest Shakespeare); Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Crucible, King Lear, Measure for Measure (AZ Repertory Theatre); All’s Well That Ends Well (Shakespeare Theatre SCA, Washington, DC)Film:  A Long Way Home (Lifetime MOW), The Wicked, Hell on Earth, All of the Above, and Angel's Blade.  Kristin holds a BFA from the University of Arizona and trained at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC.  Many thanks to friends and family for their love and support.

 

Jessica Angleskhan (Buckingham) is a loyal student and performer of the classics, including roles in As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night. Other favorites include  The House of Bernnarda Alba Air Radio, Camino Real and The Rimers of Elderidge.  She will also be seen in an upcoming production of The Elements, an original adaptation of The Oresteia.  She thanks her family, friends, her dog, and especially Karim for putting up with her.

 

 

 

Orion Delwaterman (King Edward/Ratcliff) is happy to be working with the Brooklyn Shakespeare Rep.  Orion, a California native, attended Skidmore College, and has been performing in New York ever since he graduated.  Some of his most recent productions include Murder Me Always at Laugh Factory, Romeo and Juliet with the Queens Shakespeare Company, and The Memo at the Havel festival.  Orion would like to thank the cast, and Hollie for a wonderful time and for ignoring Orion's suggestions about adding an evil richard cat to the show.  Orion would also like to thank his friends and family for their everlasting support, and a special wag of the lobster tail for GB.
 

 

Sarah Doudna (Duchess of York/ Blunt/ Messenger) Recently appeared  in Spontaneous Combustion at Manhattan Theater Source and in the James Bond mini spoof  Players Royale. Stage credits include Absence and Goat Song in that last two Midtown International Theater Festivals. Musicals include Oklahoma, Ragtime, Into the Woods (Brooklyn Heights Players) Sarah also sings and is a trained dancer. 


 

 

 

Elizabeth Eggers ( Rivers, Tyrell, Sir Christopher) Born in Manhattan, raised on Long Island, Elizabeth is a recent graduate of Atlantic Theater Company Acting School.  Previous credits include, The Women, Waiting for Phillip Glass, The Book of Leviticus Show, and A Cheever EveningElizabeth is a founding member of the Group B Project, and co-produced their first production What's Beyond This Wall: Four One-Act Plays.  She would like to thank the cast and the Brooklyn Repertory Shakespeare Company for making this show possible.

Rebecca Hackett (Dramaturge) is a visual artist as well as a performer and graduated with her B.A. in Acting and Theatre Studies from Emerson College. In NYC: Pisanio is Brooklyn Rep. Shakespeare Co.'s Cymbeline, Carrie in Looking Glass Theatre's MeetMarket.com, Female Chorus in New Moon Rep. /Roust Theatre Co.'s workshop of I, Kreon - full production slated to run November at the Walker Space in TriBeCa. Other roles include: Germaine in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Lady Macbeth/Hecate in Macbeth (London/USA), and Mercutio in R+J at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

 

Gina Healy (Costume Designer) has a been doing costumes, choreography and performing with the Brooklyn Heights Players for the last ten years. TBIYTC

 

Hollie Rosenberg (Director) has a BA in film production from Columbia College Chicago. She has worked backstage and behind the camera for television, theater and film in South Florida, Chicago, Los Angeles and NYC. She works as a Director, Playwright, Actress, Singer and Stage Manager. She is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America. In September 2007 she will be attending City University of London for her masters in playwriting. Past directng credits include, Safari (TSI), BedpanPalace (Hieghts Players), Dirty Laundry On Crazy Girl’s Line (Strawberry One Act Festival), Lets Call Him MacBeth (Brooklyn One Theater) and as assistant Director All's Well That Ends Well (The Hudson Shakespeare Company, NJ). William Shakespeare (Playwright) works as a poet, playwright, dramatist and actor in London. His other plays include Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, As You Like It, Hamlet and many more.  He is also part owner of the Kings Men Theater Co.  He is really excited about this production.  Special shout out to his wife Anne and our kids. And to the Brooklyn Shakespeare Co for taking a chance on an unknown playwright.

 Dirty Laundry On The Crazy Girl's Line

 

My one act play "Dirty Laundry On The Crazy Girl's Line" is officially a semi-finalist in the Strawberry One-Act Festival produced by the Riant Theater Co.

Crazy Girl explores her current predicament of being emotionally unbalanced and single.

Hayli-Henderson (Boring Friend)
Hayli came to New York in August of 2006. She received a BFA in Theatre from Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. Her New York credits include the Off Off Broadway production of A Kingdom, a Country or a Wasteland in the Snow at Performance Space 122, The Dressing Room at The Theatre-Studio, Inc., and Twelfth Night in the “Six Night’s to Live” Festival at The Producer’s Club. Her university credits include Kate Hardcastle in Goldsmith’s She Stoops to Conquer, Olga in Chekhov’s Three Sisters, and Iris in Blessing’s Down the Road.
 
 
Ben Hollandsworth (Danny)Ben received his B.F.A in theatre from Southern Methodist University at Meadows School of the Arts. There, some of his credits include the title role in Peer Gynt, Lucio in Measure for Measure and Tony Lumpkin in She Stoops to Conquer. Ben has also performed with Waco Summer Musicals, playing Huckleberry Finn in the musical Big River, Dallas Shakespeare Festival's production of Hamlet appearing as Rosencrantz, Orsino/Sir Toby at the Producer's Club in You Are Here Production's Twelfth Night and also performed in Theatre Studio Inc's, Safari.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Chris O’Neil (Alex)
A Boston boy at heart, Chris has been in New York for a little over two years. Since graduating from Emerson College, Chris has appeared in "Feeding Ducks," originated the title role in the children's musical "Aesop," and can also be seen as the main character Les in the short film "The Ticket." He's a fun-loving Aquarius who, in addition to acting, also writes and sings. He can be seen every Sunday morning and at select concerts throughout the year singing with the tenor section of the Professional Choir of Saint Patrick's Cathedral.

Hollie Rosenberg (Playwright/Director) Hollie works as a playwright, director, actress, and producer in NYC. Several of her one act’s have been staged in South Florida and New York City. Last summer she wrote and directed the full length comedy “Bedpan Palace” at the Heights Players Theater in Brooklyn NY. She has worked backstage and onstage for film, television and theater in Florida, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. Hollie is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America.  Rebecca Hackett (PSM) graduate of Emerson College, prides herself on being a Renaisance woman with a love for both visual and performing arts and combing the two when she can. Favorite projects include: Series 6.2: Paint on Canvas ( an original peice written with Kathrine Randle during which a 6'x15' canvas was painted and performed upon). Lady Macbeth(London/US production), Mercutio (US/Edinburgh Fringe), Germaine in Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Old Woman in Ianesco's The Chairs. Currently in the works: Cymbeline with The Brooklyn Rep. Shakespeare. Co, and Kreon, with Studio 5/New Moon Rep. Co.

 

 
 
Laura Mae Baker (Lights) is thrilled to be doing the lights for this wonderfully funny show. Every actor should have the joy of doing tech work after two years of performing in Shakespearean productions! Showsinclude: "Alls Well That Ends Well (Diana), "Macbeth" - three times! - (playing the Porter, the Thane of Ross, Witch 1, Lady and the boy Macduff). Other shows include "Midsummer Nights Dream" (Robin Starveling), "King Lear" (Curan, u/s Cordelia), "Loves Labours Lost" (Jaquenetta). Laura Mae has also graced the stage of Studio 54 Upstairs as "Alice" in the bawdy Off-Broadway musical "Alice in Wonderland". Other musicals she's been in are "Xmas Carol" (Tiny Tim), "Oh! Pioneers" (Birdie Hutchinson), "Cinderella" (Stepsister), "Into the Woods" (Rapunzel) and she appeared in one drag show cabaret with Flotilla DeBarge at Fez.
